ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Lee.
You might have seen one of the companies I’ve created and been inspired by some of the books I've written, or maybe you’ve seen me on television. You may think “WOW, must be nice!” Well, I’m here to tell you that those things are by far the least of my accomplishments, and frankly, they don't amount to much in the end.
One thing that lies behind the big titles and accolades—that people don’t see— is that I’ve made more mistakes than I care to think about. I often look back and joke with my friends and family about being a 100-year-old man in a 36-year-old body because of the number of mistakes I’ve made and experiences I've had to go through. Sure, hypothetically I'd love to take back some of my decisions in the past, the poor investments, the relationships, and the choices, but who wouldn’t? However if you asked me to go back in time, I assure you I wouldn't change any of my choices in those moments. I'm exactly where Im meant to be.
As far as I'm concerned, each decision led to incredible adventures—good or bad—and that's just part of living. Despite some hardships along the way, I wouldn't trade places with anyone, I really mean that. I know exactly who I am and where I'm heading, and that is an incredible feeling that not many people have the luxury of sharing. I’m extremely grateful for where I am today. Sometimes I look around at my life and wonder how the hell I got here. The truth is that it didn't happen overnight, but I remind myself not to discredit the incredible amount of hard work I put in in order to get here.
If you're anything like me, you know you can spend a lifetime trying to set your life's compass in the right direction, never really knowing for sure if you're going the right direction. One incredible lesson that came from living with both feet all in, all the time was knowledge and experience. The faster I made mistakes, the quicker I could make decisions and move forward. Speed is a by-product of experience. So while I was getting my butt kicked, little did I know I was learning 5x faster about life, business, finance, family, love and my future then everyone around me. The life of an entrepreneur is something special, and one thing I can promise is that it's far from normal or ordinary.
Honestly, the business stuff is easy. I can teach you how to become a successful entrepreneur in two weeks if you really want the facts and knowledge. It's a simple set of numbers and principles you can apply to any business. If the numbers work, the business will thrive. If they don't, it will be a struggle or become a failure. It's really that simple. Where the real work begins isn't in what business you're going to run, but who you are and if you're ready to run it.
My experiences in life are similar to the normal everyday person. I’m sure if we met I could talk to you about loss, divorce, kids, financial crisis, homelessness, heartbreak, illness, and addiction. It's how we deal with life that dictates our success. I’ve fought every demon you can find in this world and in the end it ended up being the man in the mirror that won and lost those battles. There are no circumstances that make you rich, successful, and happy. One of the first lessons I found out was that money only did one really great thing for me: It speeds up the ability to learn. You can fail fast, live fast, move faster, but too much money at any point in life or business will crush you. The hardest times in my life were when I was the most wealthy. You all of a sudden have all of this free time, so you rest a bit more, drink a bit more, party a bit more, sleep a bit less. Before you know it, everything you built and all the principles you practiced were gone. Now, after your good habits vanish, you're just a shell of the incredible person you spent your whole life working to be.
The reason I share all of this with you is because I came full circle and decided to build my life and my teachings around the 5 principles that have given me incredible abundance everyday: Health, Finances, Fitness, Family, Future. Here is one thing I can guarantee you:
“You cannot be amazing at only one aspect of your life. Greatness is contagious and will affect everything and everyone you come in contact with”.
